I don't say this often, but I'm glad to see the back of that month. September was pretty painful for me. After the go-go-go of August, September was more no-no-no. Never before have I burned out in such spectacular fashion.
As I'm sure you can imagine, things were pretty quiet around here as a result.

Scout started kindergarten... and then broke her arm. And I basically spent the month in bed reading.
Books I finished reading in September 2018

Because I burnt out in a big way I was basically reading books for most of the month. Hence how I managed to fly through this lot (thus getting me closer to my goal of 50 for the year, as per my "19 Before 2019" challenge.
There were also a few I started but didn't finish ('cause life's too short to read shit books), and one I quickly skimmed through. I didn't include those.
If you're looking for a good fiction book, "The Hate U Give" is the best I read this month. And the best non-fiction/self-help book was "The Obstacle Is The Way".
The start of October still has me in a slump but I think I can just about see some slivers of hope on the horizon. I'm not 100% yet, but hopefully I'm getting there.
If you're feeling frazzled or worn out, I'd encourage you to rest. I ignored it for a week or two until my body basically forced me to sit my ass down and stay there. Maybe if I'd listened a bit sooner, it wouldn't be taking so long to recover. But I'm glad I eventually gave myself the break I so desperately needed. Otherwise who knows how bad it might have got!

And how can you do it on a regular basis? Because not only do you deserve it, but you NEED it.
