The Perfect Goodbye? Kicking Perfectionism to the Curb

One of the biggest problems I have — when it comes to getting my shit together, anyway — is that I’m a perfectionist. A lot of people hear the word “perfectionist” and assume that everything in that person’s life is ideal and immaculate. Not the case. Striving for perfection doesn’t even remotely equate to achieving it. (I wish!) In fact, for many, it’s the exact opposite. I often put off doing something until I know how to make it perfect, which then leads to the thing never actually getting done at all. In the quest to find the “perfect”… Onwards! ->

Out With The Old… Literally

Another year over, a new one just begun. I’ve got very exciting things planned for the site this year, just as I’m sure you have very exciting things planned for your life! If you’ve made a resolution, I’d be willing to put good money on it falling into one of the following categories:   Health (eating a balanced diet and getting fit) Wealth (eliminating debt and starting to save) Relationships (love and laughter) Housekeeping (keeping your home clean and tidy) Organisation (better time-keeping & scheduling) Personal care (more ‘me time’, rest and relaxation, expanding your horizons)   Am I… Onwards! ->

How to Get Your Shit Together in 2015

HAPPY NEW YEAR’S EVE! Fuck the begrudgers — 2015 is going to be your best year yet! This is my favourite time of year. You need to have a plan.   So here’s what you’re going to do: You’re going to sit down and think… Onwards! ->

Brain Dump — What It Is & How To Do It

And then it was December. The next few weeks are my favourite time of year. First there’s Christmas, when I get to spend quality time with family, and my house is full of joy and laughter and warmth and colour. (And chocolate.) Then comes the New Year, full of hopes and dreams and the start of a better life. It’s the time of year I feel most motivated and most full of excitement at the possibility of positive change. (And the most sure that I’ll finally kick the chocolate addiction.) This year, the motivation kicked in a little early.… Onwards! ->

December Declutter

Within the next week, we’ll be putting up all our Christmas decorations. And, if you know me, you’ll know that that means our entire house is about to get covered in colourful tinsel and other tacky things. The brighter, the better! So, with the festive holidays looming, there’s never been a better time to declutter. As you know, I’m on a major minimalism mission, which I hope to kick into overdrive in the coming weeks and months. There’ll be an influx of new toys and trinkets soon and it’s important to make space, lest I end up swallowed in… Onwards! ->
